This Privacy Policy explains how StillAlert (“we”, “our”, or “us”) accesses, collects, uses, shares, and protects user data when you use the StillAlert mobile application (“the App”).

By using StillAlert, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Access or Collect

StillAlert may access or collect certain types of information to provide app functionality, improve reliability, support advertising, process purchases, and comply with legal or platform requirements.

  • To support background or foreground service functionality where required
  • To improve app reliability, diagnostics, and performance
  • To help prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the App

Location may be determined using GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile network signals, IP address, device settings, or other device-based location methods, depending on your device, permissions, and the services used by the App.

StillAlert does not sell your location data.

1.3 Motion Sensor Data

StillAlert may access motion sensor data from your device, such as accelerometer or gyroscope data, to provide app functionality. This may be used to detect movement, stillness, or device activity depending on the App’s features.

Where possible, motion sensor data is processed locally on your device.

1.4 Camera Access

StillAlert may request access to your device camera if a feature of the App requires it. Camera access is only used to provide the feature you choose to use.

We do not use camera access to collect images or videos without your knowledge.

1.5 Notification Data

StillAlert may request permission to send notifications. Notifications may be used to provide alerts, reminders, service updates, or app functionality.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

1.6 Audio, Vibration, and Alert Features

StillAlert may use your device’s audio, vibration, or alert functions to provide notifications or warnings. These features are used only to support the App’s alert functionality.

1.7 Purchase and Subscription Information

If the App offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, purchases may be processed through Google Play Billing. We may receive limited information about purchase status, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and related purchase metadata.

We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payment processing is handled by Google Play.

2. How We Use Information

We may use accessed or collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the App
  • To enable alerts, notifications, and safety-related functionality
  • To detect motion, stillness, or device activity
  • To support background or foreground services
  • To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App

4. Permissions Used by the App

Depending on your device, operating system, app version, and enabled features, StillAlert may request access to the following permissions:

  • Motion sensors: Used to detect movement, stillness, or device activity.
  • Camera: Used only when a feature requires camera access.
  • Notifications: Used to send alerts, reminders, and app-related notifications.

You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some features of the App may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

  • With Google services used for advertising, billing, diagnostics, and platform functionality

StillAlert is not intended for children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in your country for digital consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Your Choices and Controls

You may control certain data access and collection through your device settings, including:

  • Camera permission

You may also uninstall the App at any time to stop further access or collection by the App.

You can manage ad personalization through your Google account settings or your device advertising settings.

Information collected or processed by the App or third-party services may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
